Tired of chipping up the old epoxy every couple of years? Polyurethane is so abrasion resistant and bonds so well that this may be the last floor coating you will ever need. The manufacturing environment is very harsh, and a shop floor can quickly deteriorate. Constant traffic, wash down and fork trucks can all break the bond of epoxy to the substrate. Polyurethane is FDA approved for incidental contact with food products. Some coatings are even FDA approved for direct contact with food and potable water.
